As special as you can get…

Following our Snapshot 496 on the Amilcar Pégase, good friend of the website Peter McFadyen has sent us a fine photo that he took at the VSCC Specials race in the recent ‘Spring Start’ race meeting at Silverstone of another Amilcar Pégase – but this time a racing special. It was driven by Torcuato Iriarte, an Argentina-based car constructor and restorer. We think it has a supercharged 2,500cc engine, but whether of Amilcar or another make we do not know. It looks like a serious piece of kit.

Any more information on the car would be gratefully received.
