A NEW SELF-PUBLISHING WORKSHOP FROM THE MSMT

It is now seven years since the last MSMT conference, How to Publish Motoring History. Since then, the book market has changed significantly, and a much larger proportion of books are now self-published. To reflect these changes, The Michael Sedgwick Memorial Trust are running a new event focused on the self-publishing market:

A SELF-PUBLISHING WORKSHOP

How to get your motoring book into print

It will take place on Saturday 30 September 2023 at the British Motor Museum, Gaydon, Warwickshire CV35 0BJ.

The aim of this one-day conference is to inform and advise authors planning or considering self-publishing.

The morning sessions will follow the evolution of a book from a subject idea, through the business of writing, illustrations, size and format, to the options for publication. The afternoon sessions will deal with actual book production – design, presentation, text editing and proof reading – and marketing and distribution.

Publishers, printers, designers and other services involved in self-publishing have been invited to attend and will be available for discussion in the lunch break.

To see a detailed provisional programme, and for details of how to book, please go to the MSMT website, where all the information is there on the Home page in the News section:
